Monarchs and Milkweed Digital Stamp Set

Based on an original watercolor and gouache painting created for a graduation ceremony, this scene of transformation follows the Monarch from caterpillar through chrysalis to butterfly. Milkweed (Asclepius) is the only plant on which a Monarch will lay eggs, and here we celebrate the phases of Milkweed as well, from seeds carried away by the wind, through buds and flowering, to the formation of new seed pods. Accompanied by a handlettered quote with these wonderful Lauryn Hill lyrics: "Everything is everything; What is meant to be, will be; After winter must come Spring; Change, it comes eventually." The image is larger format than most of our digis, 6" across, and of course can be enlarged or reduced in a photo editing program. Lighter "no-line" format image also included.

Illustrated with a whole lotta love by Marcella Hawley.
