When it comes to old-fashioned flowers, pansies have a place in the hall of fame! Whether ruffled or pert, dramatically veined or sweet-n-simple, there is a perfect pansy for everyone. I have to say that in coloring this drawing myself using watercolors, I found this to be one of the more painterly subjects in the Power Poppy catalog. You have SUCH a range of color options available (you may want to search Google images for “pansies”), and you really get to play with wisking your brush, marker, or colored pencil tips to enhance the drama. The canvas of each petal is broad, and there's lots of room to move around. Have fun with this one!
Illustrated with a whole lotta love by Marcella Hawley. Includes two sentiments, too!
