Hops and barley are two of the main plants used in brewing beer, and given the popularity of craft breweries and home brewers, it’s a great time to add them to your cardmaking stash! Hops are the flowers of the hop vine, Humulus lupulus. This herbal ingredient imparts bitterness, and also adds floral, fruity, or citrusy flavors and aroma to beer. Our intertwining hops and barley illustration was originally introduced as a digital stamp. In this clear polymer version, which stamps as crisp as a cool sip of lager, you’ll also get a pint glass adorned with hops and barley, individual snippets of each plant for creating backgrounds or accents, a bottlecap with four sentiments that fit inside (“Oh, Ale Yeah!”), and several hops puns for festive occasions.
